Erosion

Erosion explores the tension between movement and solidity. Deep flowing contours travel across the surface, creating the impression of a material being folded, stretched and displaced.

Finished with a raw, stone-like texture, the piece changes continuously with its surroundings as light catches the raised ridges and falls into the carved valleys. From different angles, the form shifts between soft flowing movement and a much more architectural landscape.

If you're keeping Contours as the name of the more colourful affordable collection, I'd actually keep Erosion separate. This one looks substantial enough to sit alongside pieces like Dune, Monolith and Burnt Ember as an individually named work.
