From the first idea to something entirely your own.
Every BCreative commission begins with an idea.
It might be a piece of furniture you can't find anywhere else, a sculptural artwork created for a particular wall, or an architectural feature designed to transform a space.
Whatever the starting point, we work with you from the first conversation through to the finished piece.
01 - the conversation
Every project starts with understanding the idea.
Tell us what you're looking to create, the space it's intended for and anything that has inspired you.
You don't need a finished design. You might have a sketch, a photograph, a material you love or simply an idea you'd like us to explore.
From there, we can begin developing the direction of the piece.
02 - design
Turning an idea into a form.
We develop the concept around your space, exploring proportion, form, materials, colour and finish.
Depending on the project, this can include sketches, digital modelling and realistic visualisations, allowing you to see how the piece will look before it is made.
The design is refined with you until everything feels right.
03 - material and development
The material is part of the design.
Timber, solid surface, metals, specialist finishes and textured materials can all become part of a commission.
We experiment with materials, finishes and manufacturing techniques to find the combination that best suits both the design and the environment it will live in.

04 - making
Made in Yorkshire.
Once the design is finalised, the piece moves into our Yorkshire workshop.
Digital manufacturing sits alongside traditional making, allowing us to create forms that would be difficult to achieve through conventional methods alone.
CNC machining, hand shaping, fabrication, finishing and assembly all come together here - with each piece made individually rather than pulled from a production line.
05 - delivery and instalation
From our workshop to your space.
When the piece is complete, we can arrange delivery and, where required, installation.
For larger furniture, feature walls and architectural commissions, our team can install the finished work within the space it was designed for.
The result is something created specifically for you, your interior and the way you want that space to feel.
06 - the finished piece
