Eclipse

Solid Ash Sculptural Wall Art

Eclipse explores the relationship between light and shadow through two contrasting sculptural forms, handcrafted from solid ash.

The larger piece celebrates ash in its natural state, allowing its warm tones and distinctive flowing grain to become part of the composition. Its companion is finished in a deep black, dramatically changing the character of the same timber while allowing subtle traces of the grain to remain visible beneath the surface.

Each piece is individually shaped into a series of soft, flowing contours. As these forms travel across the timber, they interact with the grain beneath, creating constantly changing patterns of light, shadow and movement.

Displayed together, the two pieces become Eclipse — opposing forms created from the same material. Light and dark. Natural and transformed. Separate, yet intrinsically connected.

Every piece is individually handmade from solid timber, meaning variations within the grain ensure that no two examples can ever be exactly the same.
